This page explains what personal data Afifa ("I", "me", "my") collects through afifa.websiteprism.com, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. I keep it deliberately short because the site collects very little.
Who is responsible for your data
Afifa, a freelance web developer working remotely from Pakistan, is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach me at afifa@websiteprism.com for any privacy question or request.
What I collect, and why
- Messages you send me. If you use the contact form I receive your name, email address, the service you selected, an optional budget, an optional store or site URL, and your message. I use this only to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you hire me, run the project. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and my legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries.
- WhatsApp, email and Fiverr. If you contact me on WhatsApp, by email or through Fiverr, the message is handled by those services under their own privacy policies, and I see whatever you choose to send.
- Website analytics (only with your consent where the law requires it). I use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and how visitors find the site, so I can improve it. It sets cookies (such as
_ga) and records page views, approximate location (country or city level), device and browser type, and referral source. I do not use it to identify you personally and I do not combine it with the details you send me. Everyone is offered a choice in the cookie banner. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics stays off until you accept. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. - Server logs. My hosting provider records technical request data (IP address, requested page, browser) for security and reliability. I do not use these logs to profile visitors.
What I do not do
- I do not sell your data and I do not use it for advertising or profiling.
- I do not add you to a mailing list. I only email you about the enquiry you started.
- I do not ask for payment details on this site.
Who processes your data
- Hostinger hosts the website and the mailbox that receives contact-form messages.
- Google provides Google Analytics and Google Search Console, and serves the fonts used on this site from its own servers, which means your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
- Meta (WhatsApp) and Fiverr process messages you send through those services.
Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States. They apply their own safeguards, and I do not transfer your data anywhere myself beyond the services listed above.
How long I keep it
Enquiry messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and to keep ordinary business records of any work we do together, then deleted or anonymised. Analytics data is kept for the period set in my Google Analytics account (up to 14 months). Cookies expire on their own schedule; analytics cookies last up to two years.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR) you can ask me to show you the personal data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how I use it, or give you a copy. You can also withdraw analytics consent at any time and complain to your local data-protection authority. Email afifa@websiteprism.com and I will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.
Cookies
Apart from the analytics cookies above (set only after consent where required), the site uses a small browser-storage item to remember your cookie choice. Nothing else is stored in your browser.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not aimed at children. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If I change how the site handles data I will update this page and the date at the top.
